Lauren here, one of the newest Dolls at the Dollhouse. I'm here today to tell you all about the important and transformative power of contouring! 

Contouring has the power to carve out those envy worthy cheekbones, slim the appearance of your facial structure and add depth and warmth to your face. Contouring helps to create the flawless face effect. 

I personally have seen many friends who have misused the power of face powders, foundations and contours. It is easy for women to mis-match their skin tone for powder, under blend or even do the adverse effect of creating a rounder looking face by poorly executing the contour techique. While every girl can benefit from a nice glow of blush, don't forget that just like any thing beautiful that is built, the face also needs a good foundation or base to begin any makeup look! I'm going to share my quick and easy step by step directions on how to creates a flawless face with contouring. 

1. Analyze your skin tone and shade. Check for the color of your undertones (Yellow, pink, olive etc) and pick a foundation shade that is best for you. Apply foundation all over face and blend down onto neck. 

2. Apply a concealer under eyes that is one shade lighter and brighter than your foundation. Set with a translucent HD wonder powder. 

3. Set foundation with a matching shade of pressed foundation powder for extra flawless coverage. 

4. Choose a contour powder that is good for your skin tone. I advise selecting a shade that is one or two shades darker than your natural tone. I recommend a cool tone powder that will act as casting a shadow to create the appearance of prominent cheek bones and a slimmer face. 

5. With our bunny soft powder brush, begin at the top of the forehead and draw the shape of a "3" on both symmetrical sides of your face. Beginning on the forehead, down to the cheek bones and then onto the jaw line. Repeating this motion and this shape will ensure a seamless and blended look. BE CAUTIOUS to blend repeatedly so you create a smooth and flawless look instead of a harsh and unnatural contour. (See video below for my live demo)

Following the contouring steps will ensure to reduce the size appearance of your forehead, carve out your cheekbones and add warmth and dimension to your profile and to enhance the look of your jawline, also making your face look slimmer. Follow these steps and I promise that you will look seamless, flawless and oh so BEAUTIFUL!
