Dewy skin, Illuminating skin, Glowing skin...

These are a few of our favorite things! We know what you may be thinking- WARNING! WARNING! STOP! Alerting sirens and warnings are running through your mind as all you have been taught about beauty is about to be tested. In the old fashioned handbook of beauty, we were all taught to powder, blot and at all costs- keep the skin MATTE. Well the beauty experts are here to tell you- gone are the days of running off to the ladies room to powder and conceal! The times have changed ladies and now it's all about the-

G L O W !

Who wants to look dry and matte when you could look fresh, vibrant and radiating?! This Spring, it's all looking golden, bronze and as if you're glowing from within! Adding glow and bronze products can add so much life to the skin! Overly dry skin can look unhealthy, neglected and flat.

Imagine how you would feel after a long vacation to the Caribbean. You've got a gorgeous warm tan, your skin is bright and fresh and you feel like your most beautiful self! Well this oasis of beauty is how we want to feel every day.. anytime and anywhere. That's where our obsession with bronzing, glowing skin has come from. We want you to have the same gorgeous beauty escape.. so we're here for you! With our top beauty products and at home remedies to help you achieve glowing, radiating skin!

8 TIPS TO GLOWING SKIN-

1.)  Drinking lots of water! Dolls, one of our greatest, most over looked beauty secrets is good ole H2O. Water does wonders for your complete health but specifclly for your skin. Water pushes out all of your impurities and flushes the toxins from the skin. Also drinking an adequate amount of water each day will aid in hydrating and curing your dry skin and adding a healthy glow.

2.) LEMON! Lemons are rich in vitamin C which travel through the body and neutralize free radicles. Free radicles attack your healthy skin cells and damage them causing dead lifeless skin, blemishes, uneven skin tones, wrinkles and pigmentation, leaving your skin looking soft and glowing. We recommend drinking at least 8 oz of fresh lemon water a day. To go the extra mile, you can squeeze fresh lemon juice on to a cotton swab and apply as a toner to your skin once a week to help aid in glowing skin.

3.) Exfoliate. Exfoliating the skin is vital for healthy, glowing skin. Daily, sun damage, dehydration and pollutants can rapidly wear on the skin and cause dead skin cells. As the skin cells are left on the skin, they quickly pile up and create the appearance of dull, lifeless skin. Exfoliating is key to scrub away those skin cells and to reveal a healthy fresh layer of bright skin. We recommend picking up a fresh exfoliating scrub from your favorite skin care brand. You can also diy your own scrub with raw sugar, lemon juice and coconut oil for an all natural, fresh scrub.

4.) Moisturize! This is one key step that you do not want to skip! Moisturizer helps to keep the skin feeling hydrated, soft and smooth. Nothing can dull down the appearance of skin more than dry, cracking skin with dehydration and premature wrinkles. Moisturizer is the key to keeping your skin full of life and hydration.

5.)  Liquid highlighter. Like we said.. it's all about the glow! Our current obsession is liquid highlighter. These cream based product glides on to the skin and you use a patting technique to press it into the skin. This product leaves the skin looking dewy and fresh. We love adding life to the face with a liquid highlighter.

6.) Powder Illuminator! You can never have too much glow! Don't be alarmed when you see this product and all of its shimmery goodness. We promise, you will not look like a glittery child who dug around in the sparkles. The shimmer in these products are very finely milled to allow for such micro pearls to float over top the skin and to add such a gorgeous subtle sheen to the skin. Apply to the very top of the cheekbones for an added bonus of the appearance of protruding cheek bones.

7.) Bronzer. Healthy, fresh skin is all about a gorgeous bronze glow. Add a warm bronzer, softly, to the cheek bones, sides of the forehead and the jawline to add the appearance of a natural sun warmth and to help aid in a flawless, glowing appearance.

8.) Avoid over- powdering! We know this tip may seem like the opposite of what you're used to hearing when all of the old techniques were to keep a completely matte complexion. Don't be afraid of a little healthy glow! We recommend only powdering the areas of the face that tend to get the most oily like your t-zone area and underneath your under eyes to prevent creasing throughout the day. As for the rest of the face? Let it breath and go with just cream products to create the fresh and glowing from within look!

As you can see doll, it's all about bright, dewy skin! Throw out that chalky, matte powder and exchange it for a bright, illuminating highlighter powder. We're confident you're going to love the freshness of glowing, hydrated skin!

Until next time,

Dollup Doll Lauren
